Our open office concept is great for collaboratively solving problems and our unassigned seating offers employees the ability to move around within the workspace.
Company outings are not uncommon at Maluuba. You can find us at a local movie theatre a couple times a month and we have weekly soccer games. We also enjoy other activities such as go-karting, paintballing, dinners at fancy restaurants and even a weeklong trip to the Bahamas!

About Our Teams
Natural Language
The NLP team is at the core of Maluuba's technology. The platform is responsible for everything from domain classification, entity extraction, ontological understanding, speech correction, normalization -- and anything else our leading team of engineers can come up with. Maluuba puts the latest in NLP research into the hands of hundreds of thousands users each week.
Infrastructure
The Infrastructure team at Maluuba has two main responsibilities: developing the secure, scalable platform on which runs Maluuba's service-oriented architecture, and building the internal tools developers use for coding, testing, and deploying across the platform. Infrastructure engineers are very often part of interdisciplinary efforts with other teams on every part of the codebase to integrate things as tightly as possible.
Mobile
The Mobile team at Maluuba creates beautifully designed mobile apps for all major mobile operating systems. Mobile engineers work with the UX and Product team to create, maintain and expand new product concepts. They work closely with the Platform team to plug in to Maluuba's service-oriented architecture. Creating high performance mobile applications demands strong skills in threading, optimization and memory management from mobile engineers.
Platform
The platform team connects Maluuba's natural language tech with industries top content and search providers. As a platform engineer, you will come up with innovative ways to search and aggregate data across APIs. Platform works closely with our partner companies such as Yelp, Wolfram Alpha and Eventful, with many more to come in the future. Platform works with a wide variety of tools and languages including Java, Python, Rails, Storm, Solr, and whatever is else is needed.
